Ever Read a Book About Reading Books?!

Updated: Jan 23, 2023

Me neither but I'm fixing to! Based on a friend's post, I just ordered a book that promises to teach me to read 200 books a year. But wait, that's not all! This book also promises that I will be able to retain those 200 books. Although I am quite cynical, I am going to give it try. My latest book haul from Good Will is sitting beside my chair but has now grown with the super deals I got at the Truth In Love Conference this past weekend! Oh, and when my husband and I walked into the church building last Sunday, low and behold, there was a box of free books. I certainly couldn't pass up free books! I love books; I love the smell of them, the look of them and the idea of them. With money no object, I would add an open 2 story, floor to ceiling dark wood stained bookshelves, leather filled, cigar scented candle, fireplace lit library on to my house! In case I haven't said it before; I love books but I am having a harder time remembering what in the world I do read these days. I don't really plan on reading 200 books this year but I am curious as to what kind of tips I can learn about retaining the books I do read. Age, distraction, unfinished websites and products that need to be produced are definitely a hindrance to remembrance. Do you have any tips? If so, let me know.
