Me too, Bilbo, me too! Bilbo Bagginses [sic] initial reluctance to set off on an adventure, echoed my reservations on starting this blog, my store, book club...all of it. Did I know enough? Was my product good enough? Would anyone want it? Am I too old to start this now?! I thought, I prayed, I mulled, I researched...and then like Bilbo, I jumped up and just ran! So here I am typing, backspacing, typing, deleting, "googling" stuff, typing again... This oh so very white page is slowly being changed into my first blog post. For those experienced bloggers, I hope you keep reading as an act of solidarity. For those who have yet to start a blog but want to, be encouraged. If I can do it, so can you. OK, so back to Mr. Bilbo, the world's beloved Hobbit. His adventure, The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, will be the first book with the Blue Anchor Design Co. book club. Many of the products offered in the BADC store will correspond with the "book of the month". I love to read and wanted to get back to reading more, so why not start with some classics? This first list are books I picked right off my shelf. Some I have read, some I have not. I hope we can engage with each book at the end of the month.
